Space STEM Day in Huntsville Alabama
Future Technologies & Enabling Plasma Processes (FTPP) partnered with Astronomy on Tap and Innerspace Brewery to host a Space STEM Day in Huntsville, AL. Twelve Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) from the Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research (CSPAR) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville played a key role in organizing the event, which featured engaging, hands-on STEM activities. Open to the public, the event attracted over 50 participants, including over 25 K-12 students.

The IMAP Outreach Program is designed to provide access and inspirational STEM opportunities through a suite of activities and materials for children, teens, and families. These activities are highlighted at monthly IMAP STEM Days held at designated IMAP Outreach Partner sites.
IMAP Outreach Partners receive a series of theme-based kits that highlight qualities needed for success in STEM, such as perseverance, curiosity, and imagination. The kits contain activities and materials to engage the local public with mission and The study of the Sun and its connection to the solar system, including the physical processes that occur in the space environment.
