NOAA’s Role on the Mission

The NOAA Space Weather Follow On (SWFO) Program will ensure critical operational space weather measurements of coronal mass ejections and solar wind continue to be available. The SWFO-L1 spacecraft will launch as a rideshare with IMAP to Lagrange-1 (L1). Together, these spacecraft will provide the first operational coronagraph imagery, suprathermal ion and electron data, and experimental high-energy electrons and solar wind composition data available in near-real-time.
